Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer in Raleigh, NC to design, build, and operate the edge-to-cloud data pipeline for IoT devices on the production floor. You will own backend services, data ingestion, and cloud forwarding with robust testing and deployment practices.

You will collaborate with Controls, HMI, Manufacturing, and Field Support to ship reliable, scalable systems and mentor junior engineers on best practices and advanced techniques.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production distributed backend systems.
• Experience with C# and .NET, ASP.NET Core REST APIs.
• Relational DB design, indexing, migrations, and SQL tuning.
• Containerization experience and Linux deployment.
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; unit/integration tests.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services in C# .NET Core REST APIs and workers.
• Own data pipeline from device ingest to cloud archive including migrations.
• Build and maintain containerized services and deployment manifests.
• Integrate with industrial controllers via fieldbus protocols.
• Deliver features end-to-end with tests, CI, deployment and field validation.
• Contribute to architecture and refactors for maintainability.
• Mentor juniors and collaborate across departments to ship releases.
• Communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
