Job summary
PGTEK seeks a GKE / GDC Edge Engineer to design and operate secure cloud capabilities for federal and DoD environments, spanning edge, connected, and air-gapped networks. This role supports RMF/FedRAMP authorization and involves hybrid or remote work with periodic travel to customer sites in the DC/NOVA region.
We value deep hands-on experience with GKE, Google Distributed Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps, plus strong collaboration, mentoring, and the ability to translate security
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software, cloud, data, cybersecurity, systems, or AI engineering experience.
- 3+ years of advanced hands-on experience in production or regulated environments.
- Deep experience with GKE, Google Distributed Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, supply-chain security, networking, SRE, and federal controls.
Responsibilities
- Design clusters/fleets, identity, networking, policy, observability, artifact promotion, upgrades, DR, and air-gapped operations.
- Implement solutions using GKE, Google Distributed Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, and supply-chain security.
- Mentor team members and contribute reusable standards.
- Support RMF/FedRAMP/DoD authorization activities.
