Job summary

Mind Robotics Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for Edge & Field Systems to help harden and productionize field software.

You will ship edge software for data collection rigs and teleoperation stations, and contribute to validation testing including hardware-in-the-loop setups across multiple factory sites. You will own monitoring, deployment tooling, and collaboration with operations to ensure reliable fleet performance in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong programming fundamentals and comfort across the stack — edge devices, services, and local data pipelines.
• Experience with edge computing, device or fleet management, real-time systems, robotics or sensor systems.
• Bias for ownership: shipped features or systems to production and supported them in the field.
• Clear communication and close collaboration with product, research, and operations partners.
• Hands-on experience with sensor data (video, depth, IMU, force/torque) is a plus.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop or simulation-based testing (e.g., Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo) is a plus.
• Background in robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial IoT, or teleoperation systems is a plus.
• Exposure to manufacturing or other industrial environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build the field capture stack — edge software for data collection rigs: device management, sensor orchestration, and real-time data quality monitoring.
• Ship the teleop stack — collection, evaluation, and operator tooling for teleoperation stations, including metrics and task management.
• Build and contribute to integration and validation testing for field software, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test setups.
• Build monitoring and dashboards giving visibility into fleet health, capture quality, and station uptime across sites.
• Make deployment repeatable — create tooling and configuration systems for onboarding new manufacturing sites as a config change.
• Support the field — debug live systems and work with site operations staff and robot operators.
