Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Data Center Strategy professional to optimize our global PoP footprint, negotiate with key vendors, and partner across legal, security, and network teams. You will lead complex, multi-region initiatives, manage budgets, and ensure scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure growth.

Based in or willing to work from locations like San Francisco, Austin, Seattle, or New York, you will balance strategic vision with practical execution in a fast-growing cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in planning and managing data center footprints in a fast-moving tech or cloud context.
• Ability to manage complex projects across multiple teams and regions with deadlines.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Experience with rack, site power, and white space planning is a plus.
• Experience with network concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define regional vendor strategy for data centers.
• Own end-to-end deals with new/existing data center vendors and sites.
• Collaborate with legal, operations, capacity planning, network strategy, and security teams.
• Establish regular vendor management activities with top partners.
• Represent Cloudflare to external partner leadership and at events.
• Act as a point of contact for internal customers and external vendors.
• Contribute to annual data center budget and benchmark infrastructure costs.
• Review colocation spend and invoices for approvals.
