Job summary

NextEdge seeks a Data Center Business Development Director to drive strategy for edge and regional data center growth in the United States. You will build executive relationships with operators, utilities, and partners to translate complex infrastructure needs into profitable opportunities and scalable revenue streams.

You will shape proposals, pricing, and contract terms while developing a repeatable growth model across the data center ecosystem. Reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business development or related leadership roles.
• Experience selling to edge data centers, utilities, and enterprise customers.
• Strong understanding of power, cooling, and mission-critical facility requirements.
• Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles and partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA/advanced certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development strategy for edge data centers and regional opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and close profitable opportunities with key partners.
• Conduct consultative customer discovery to uncover capacity and timing needs.
• Build executive-level relationships with customers, utilities, and partners.
• Develop territory and market-entry strategies tied to edge growth.
• Translate technical solutions into clear customer outcomes and ROI.
