Job summary

Versatile is seeking an Edge Band Operator in Nunica, Michigan. The role involves operating semi-automatic and fully automatic edge banding machines to apply edges to wood components with precision. Experience with HOMAG and Biesse machines is preferred, with focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating semi-automatic and fully automatic edge banding machines.
• Experience with contour edgebanding machines preferred.
• Knowledge of HOMAG and Biesse equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate edge banding machines to apply edging materials to wood components.
• Adjust machine settings for different materials, profiles, and thicknesses.
• Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on equipment.
• Inspect finished components to ensure proper adhesion, alignment, and finish quality.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area and comply with all safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
