Job summary

Quadric, based in Burlingame, California, is redefining edge AI with its GPNPU. The Systems team builds the foundational software layers—drivers, debuggers, assemblers, and simulators—that bridge our high-level SDK with custom hardware.

You will own critical components of the low-level stack, collaborate with hardware and software engineers, and influence architectures to keep the GPNPU fast and reliable for developers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building systems software: simulators, toolchains, debuggers, drivers, or performance-critical C++ libraries
• Deep comfort with modern C++ (C++17/20) and systems-level programming paradigms
• Advanced understanding of RAII, memory management, object lifetimes, ownership models, and memory access optimization
• Ability to design and maintain clean abstraction layers for readable, maintainable code
• Proactive, adaptable attitude toward a brand-new processor architecture
• Experience at the boundary of hardware and software: architectural simulation, debugger backends, developer APIs, low-level toolchains, bare-metal constraints

Responsibilities

• Instruction Set Simulator: maintain and optimize the simulator for architecture validation and software development
• Loader and Assembler: drive low-level toolchain design, translation to binary formats (ELF), and code loading
• Remote Debugger: develop and refine debugging tools and backends with deep hardware visibility
• C++ Host & Core Device APIs: design and maintain clean APIs for hardware interaction
• Deliver production-ready, low-latency API abstractions and debugging utilities for internal SDKs and customers
