Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an inventive AI engineer/scientist to build the next generation of AI-native industrial automation systems powered by edge compute platforms. You will develop intelligent, real-time capable systems that learn, reason, optimize, and operate autonomously within industrial environments.

You will report to the Director AI and contribute across AI research, controls engineering, embedded systems, and industrial operations, with a hybrid schedule from Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience is typical.
• Experience with Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-native industrial systems for real-time reasoning and decision making.
• Design and deploy AI solutions on edge compute platforms with CPU/GPU acceleration.
• Integrate AI with industrial automation systems, sensors, controllers, and OT.
• Collaborate with AI research, controls engineering, embedded systems, and industrial operations.
