Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Clinical Education Specialist for Emergency Department/Trauma to lead education initiatives across BH. You will develop competency-based orientation, serve as SME, and align education with system goals.

Travel between BH facilities is required; you will use diverse teaching modalities including simulation, in-person and online sessions, and mentor the clinical education team to advance evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

Massachusetts RN license to practice.
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in the specialty.
Experience in education, staff development, or clinical instruction.
Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
Professional Certification in Nursing Professional Development or Specialty within 1 year of hire.
Master’s degree in nursing (BSN or MSN).

Responsibilities

Lead design, delivery, and evaluation of Education programs for Emergency Department/Trauma across BH.
Serve as SME and resource for clinical teams in this specialty.
Develop and maintain competency-based orientation and teach classes.
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Curriculum development and teaching with current guidelines and learner feedback.
Facilitate learner-centered sessions in-person, virtually, and via simulation.
Mentor and support other clinical education team members.
Ensure education is standardized and scalable across BH facilities.
