Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day Shift in Emergency Services. The assignment is approximately 12 weeks, with ongoing staffing assessments based on operational needs.

The RN will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, supervise teaching for patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to monitor changes in patient condition in the ED/Telemetry, while upholding privacy and EMTALA regulations.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC 60 days upon hire and maintain current.
• CEN preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process within the ED/Telemetry and direct patient/family teaching.
• Coordinate with physicians to communicate changes in patient condition and manage care in the Emergency Department.
