Description:

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Technician (EDT) to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. This role involves assisting physicians and nurses in providing exceptional care to patients with various medical conditions.

What you will do

1. Perform and document care in the patients' electronic health record (EHR).
2. Provide basic nursing care, including ADLs, routine specimen collection, vital signs, intake/output, and weight measurement.
3. Perform procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, point of care testing, and monitor patient responses to restraints and observations.
4. Carry out tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse.
5. Communicate routinely with the Registered Nurse and report any findings or concerns immediately.
6. Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify problems, determine causes, and seek solutions.
7. Explain care procedures to patients and families to ensure transparency and understanding.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification required.
• Assault Reduction Training.

Schedule

• Part-Time, 24-hour night flex shift, adaptable to 3p-7a based on department needs.
• Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
