Description:

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Technician (EDT) to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. This role involves assisting physicians and nurses in providing exceptional care to patients with various medical conditions.

What you will do

1. Perform and document patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
2. Provide basic nursing care, including ADLs, routine specimen collection, vital signs, intake/output, and weight measurement.
3. Execute procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and monitor patient responses to restraints and other interventions.
4. Assist and perform tasks delegated by the Registered Nurse.
5. Communicate routinely with the Registered Nurse and report any findings or concerns immediately.
6. Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify problems, determine probable causes, and seek solutions.
7. Explain care procedures to patients and their families to ensure transparency and understanding.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Complete Assault Reduction Training.

Schedule

• Part-Time, 24-hour night flex shift, with adaptability to work 3 PM - 7 AM based on department needs.
• Expected to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
