Job summary

Bayhealth requires an Emergency Department Technician II to deliver basic nursing assistant services under RN supervision. The role supports neonate to geriatric patients, performing vital signs, specimen collection, and routine care in a dynamic ED setting.

You will assist with procedures, document in the EHR, transport patients, and help maintain patient care areas. Prior LPN/Paramedic experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Paramedic certificate preferred.
• BLS; Paramedic; National Registry of EMT/Paramedic credentials required or preferred.
• New Graduate or 1+ year LPN/Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care: positioning, turning, toileting, and comfort measures.
• Take vital signs, monitor patient status, and document in the EHR.
• Assist with procedures, prepare supplies, and maintain sterile technique.
• Transport patients using wheelchair or stretcher within the hospital.
• Restock supplies and ensure clean patient care areas.
• Perform venipuncture and assist with IV procedures under RN supervision.
