Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA training with CNA certification or EMT-B certification or nursing student with clinical rotation.
• Current ED experience preferred.
• BLS by American Heart Association required.
• Computer literate; able to read/write basic English.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate care to assigned patients.
• Performs treatments and procedures per policy.
• Prepares patient environment for receiving patients.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Assists nurse or physician in procedures as needed.
• Places patients on cardiac monitor as instructed.
• Cares for patients' clothing and personal property from admission to discharge.
• Functions appropriately during emergencies and crises.
