Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join a fast-paced, collaborative ED team. You’ll work alongside physicians, nurses, EMS professionals and other healthcare teammates to support urgent and emergent patient care with hands-on clinical duties.

The role offers full-time, part-time or PRN options, shift flexibility, and opportunities to develop skills in EKG, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing and critical care support in a high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and providers with patient care and department operations
• Obtain and document vital signs, patient information, and clinical observations
• Perform phlebotomy on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and assist with cardiac monitoring activities
• Conduct point-of-care testing, including blood glucose and urine pregnancy testing
• Assist with emergency response procedures and patient care interventions
• Assist with splinting, orthopedic procedures, and treatment preparation
• Prepare patients for provider examinations and procedures
• Transport patients throughout the hospital for testing, treatment, and admission
• Support patient mobility, comfort, and activities of daily living as needed
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a safe, organized, and well-stocked care environment
• Participate in disaster preparedness and department readiness activities
