Qualifications

• Able to adapt to transporting patients of all ages (child to geriatric).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists ED staff with safe transport of patients to, from, and within the ED using proper safety measures.
• Uses transportation carts and wheelchairs according to procedures.
• Restocks patient rooms to ensure readiness for care using stocking checklists.
• Restocks suture cart and ensures cart is locked at shift end.
• Transports supplies as needed and maintains a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
• Moves EMS equipment to the locker area after patient use.
• Replaces sharp containers as needed.
• Prioritizes tasks effectively and demonstrates commitment to excellent customer service.
