Job summary

Trinity Health's Loyola hospital in Berwyn, IL is seeking a full-time Emergency Department Nursing Assistant for the 12-hour night shift. You will assist nurses and physicians with patients, performing basic and complex care procedures in a fast-paced ED.

One year ED experience preferred; high school diploma required; CPR, ACLS, Basic Arrhythmia, and PALS within specified timeframes. Strong communication and data-entry skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification at time of hire.
• ACLS certification at time of hire or within six months of hire.
• Basic Arrhythmia Class completed at time of hire or within six months.
• PALS certification within six months to one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and physicians with patients in the Emergency Department.

Description

FT Nights Reporting to the Nurse Manager and under the general supervision of a Charge Nurse assists both nurses and physicians with patients in the Emergency Department by performing both basic and complex patient care procedures One (1) year of previous experience in an Emergency Department setting preferred. Completion of a High School Diploma or its equivalent. Current CPR certification at time of hire. ACLS certification (Advance Cardiac Life Support) at time of hire or within six (6) months of hire. Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Class at time of hire or within six (6) months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six (6) months to one (1) year of hire. Effective communication skills both written and verbal in order to communicate with patients and their families as well as all levels of hospital staff. Compensation

Salary Range: $17.30 - $26.81 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
