Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Rock Island, IL invites you to join our fast-paced Emergency Department team as an Emergency Department Technician. You will support Registered Nurses and the clinical team with hands-on patient care, help with vital checks, and assist with tasks that keep patients safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with patients and provides basic, immediate care and comfort needs, including vitals (temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate).
• Assists with cleaning, bed changes, bathing, dressing and toileting patients.
• Builds genuine emotional connections with patients.
