RWJBarnabas Health seeks an ED Technician for RWJ Hamilton Hospital to support the Emergency Department. The role is part-time, day shift, hourly wage between $21.04 and $26.19, located at One Hamilton Health Place, Hamilton, NJ 08619.

The ED Technician will assist patients with daily living activities, participate in phlebotomy and EKGs, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safe, quality care from admission to discharge. A high school diploma and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Previous nursing assistant experience or CNA preferred.

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated ED Technician for RWJ Hamiltion.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• BLS required.(American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• Certified nursing assistant preferred.

Scheduling Requirements

• Day Part Time 24 hrs per week

Essential Functions

• The ED Technician is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients including phlebotomy and EKG's.
• Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service
• Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions
• Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient's care
• Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from ad mission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
