UofL Health in Louisville is seeking an Emergency Department Tech/Unit Coordinator to provide frontline clinical support under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role combines patient care with clerical duties across admission, discharge, and multiple hospital systems.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification, with preference for prior ED experience or CNA/CMA/EMT training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: ED experience; CNA/CMA/EMT certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hospital admitting/discharging processes.

Responsabilités

• Measures intake/output and vital signs.
• Transcribes physician orders into systems.
• Assists RN/MD with procedures and patient care.
• Transports patients and specimens.
• Maintains equipment and ensures infection control.
• Phlebotomy and 12-lead ECG as directed by RN.
