Educational Technician I, II, III

Great Salt Bay is seeking a dedicated Educational Technician to join our special education team.

Responsibilities
  • Work with students with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral disabilities in a school or structured setting.
  • Support life skills instruction, including personal care, hygiene, communication, community access, and functional academics.
  • Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and families.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and flexibility when working with students who have diverse and complex needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies.
  • Enter and manage data using basic technology skills and assistive technology.
  • Prevent and intervene in crises, with CPI or Safety Care training preferred or willingness to be trained.
Qualifications
  • Certification as an Educational Technician I, II, or III (as required by the position and state guidelines).
  • Experience working with students with developmental, intellectual, or behavioral disabilities in a school or structured setting.
  • Knowledge of life skills instruction, including personal care, hygiene, communication, community access, and functional academics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and district policies.
  • Basic technology skills for data entry and use of assistive technology.
