Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks an Educational Technician to support student growth in a dynamic school community near Scarborough, ME. You will assist teachers, support academic and social development, and help create a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates have a couple of years of college coursework, prior paraprofessional or education-tech experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills. This contract offers hands-on experience and opportunities to contribute to student independence.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of college coursework or equivalent required.
  • Experience as paraprofessional, education technician, or behavioral health professional in schools preferred.
  • Ability to support students with diverse needs and apply behavioral management techniques.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; able to work in a team.
  • Commitment to fostering student independence and confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and activities.
  • Provide individualized and small-group support for academic and behavioral needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and promote a positive inclusive learning environment.
  • Document student progress and share observations with teachers and specialists.
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training to develop skills.
