Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have six months of related emergency care experience (EMT, CNA, or MA).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification (I or II) in California is required/considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to use a personal computer.
• Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under supervision.
• Obtain vital signs, EKGs, height/weight, and input/output data as directed.
• Assist with procedures, patient transport, and room setup.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic nursing duties as assigned.
• Maintain infection control and safety practices according to policy.
• Document care and unit activities accurately and timely.
