Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support medical and nursing staff in caring for adolescent to geriatric patients. You will perform general clerical reception duties as needed and assist with patient care during 7p-7a shifts on weekends.

Required BLS certification and a high school diploma or GED. Preferred candidates have 1 year of ED tech experience or additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP). On-call not required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) or post-secondary education.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff in care and treatment of emergency department patients (adolescent to geriatric).
• Perform general clerical reception duties as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)

• One (1) year of experience as an Emergency Department Technician.
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
