Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks an ED Tech to assist in emergency care under a registered nurse. The role supports patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced ED environment. Two 12-hour shifts with every third weekend and holiday rotation.

CNA or nursing student with clinical rotation or ER experience preferred. Flu vaccination is required and compensation ranges from $19.50 to $26.24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation or one year of clinical care experience, EMT or ER clinical experience.
• High school diploma/equivalent strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills and crisis prevention/intervention are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures to provide emergency care and support patient care in the ED.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort during shifts.

Working under the direction of a registered nurse, this ED Tech position contributes to the Hospital’s mission to care, heal and to excel in service to our community by performing procedures to provide emergency care, for the comfort and safety of patients. This clinical staff position will have an impact on the patient’s experience by facilitating optimal outcomes utilizing a collaborative team approach to patient care in the emergency care setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

Required:

Certified Nursing Assistant, nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation or one year clinical care experience or equivalent education, one year clinical care experience, EMT or emergency room clinical experience

Preferred:

• High school diploma/equivalent strongly preferred
• Emergency patient care experience
• EKG experience
• Phlebotomy experience

Other Skills/Knowledge:

Preferred:

• Basic computer skills

Pay Range:

$19.50 - $26.24

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
