Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie, TX seeks an Emergency Department Technician 2 for Part-Time Evenings. Two twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends.

Under supervision, you perform direct technical care and support emergency services using basic patient care principles and medical technology. Responsibilities include data collection (vital signs, pain scales), wound care, venipuncture, IV placement, and assisting with mobility, transport and education.

Qualifications

• ED Technician–Paramedic certification or licensed paramedic required.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect objective data (vital signs, weight, pulse oximetry, pain scales) and document findings.
• Perform wound care, venipuncture, placing peripheral IVs, and specimen collection as directed.
• Assist with patient mobility, feeding, and personal care while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other team members; follow hospital protocols.
