Job summary

Wood County Hospital in Ohio seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the ED to join a full-time night shift (7p-7a). The role focuses on high-quality patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and evidence-based practice within the nursing scope per state guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/ADN, with Ohio RN licensure, BLS/ACLS within 90 days, and PALS/NRP as required by ED areas. BSN preferred; two years of clinical experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN required for hire.
• RN in Ohio licensure by time of hire.
• BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• PALS within 90 days for ED/PACU/Infusion.
• NRP within 90 days for OB.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Specialty certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely reports and records.
• Individualize care based on patient values and needs.
• Collaborate with other providers for best patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families from admission to discharge.
• Support a culture of safety through preparation and response.
• Work hours as per offer letter; may extend when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
