Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a Staff RN to direct and provide ED nursing care for patients with diverse needs. You will triage, communicate changes in patient status to ED providers, and support the interdisciplinary team to maintain efficient patient flow.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Missouri RN license (or eligibility), BSN preferred, and at least 1 year in emergency care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Missouri RN license or eligibility as graduate nurse.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year ER experience preferred.
• Knowledge of age-specific patient needs across life stages.
• AHA BLS required; ACLS/TNCC/PALS certifications preferred or within 6–12 months.
• Must be self-motivated and follow hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients to determine priority of care.
• Assist with procedures such as conscious sedation, central lines, RSI.
• Provide patient care and document according to policy.
• Maintain positive customer service relations.
• Participate in quality improvement projects.
• Serve as sitter if needed after training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
