Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center Inc is seeking Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department. Positions available are Full Time, Part Time, and Per Diem with Day and Night shifts on a 3 X 12 hour schedule.

Pay ranges from $37.00–$51.28 per hour, with an additional sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Experienced RNs (2+ years in acute care) can receive up to $20,000 sign-on bonus; new graduates may be eligible for up to $10,000.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in Telemetry and the Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and test results; respond quickly to changes.
