UnitedHealth Group is hiring for a patient-facing registration position at our Boulder, CO location. You will greet and check in patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and manage co-pays in a fast-paced clinical front-office environment.

The role requires 1+ year of customer service in healthcare, strong communication, and the ability to work afternoons/evenings on Mon, Tue, Fri, and Sat shifts. On-site presence at the Boulder site is essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience in a hospital, office setting, customer service setting or phone support role.
• Ability to work onsite at 4747 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder CO 80303 in an emergency department setting.
• Ability to work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday - afternoons and evening on those days.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates directly with patients and/or families to complete the registration process by collecting demographics and health information, and verifying insurance eligibility/ benefits.
• Utilizes computer systems to enter or verify patient data in real-time ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Verifies insurance coverage and creates price estimates; reverifications as needed.
• Collects patient co-pays and discusses out-of-pocket financial obligations with patients.
• Collects data from patients and referring provider offices to confirm services prior to discharge.
• Responds to patient and caregiver inquiries with compassion and respect.
• Generates and analyzes patient data reports and follows up on issues and inconsistencies.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of registration requirements for ED and related units.
