Qualifications

• 2 years registration experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, Hospital Emergency Department or high volume outpatient medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance products and benefits, state and federal medical assistance programs, authorization and referral requirements, and collection of copays.
• Medical terminology knowledge also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in a fast-paced ED environment.
• Verify insurance and benefits at point of service.
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance (EMTALA, HIPAA, Joint Commission).
• Collect copays and assist revenue cycle processes.
