Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ seeks an ED Registration Clerk to join a fast-paced, 24/7 department. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and ensure accurate data entry at point of care.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 2 years in registration in a trauma or high-volume setting, with knowledge of medical benefits and EMTALA/HIPAA guidelines. Experience with Flowcast scheduling and EPIC ED is a plus; join a leading academic health system

Qualifications

Two years registration experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, ED or high-volume outpatient setting preferred.
Knowledge of medical insurance products/benefits and state/federal programs; familiarity with authorizations/referrals and copays.
Proficiency with EMTALA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission patient access regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle registration, insurance verification, patient safety/compliance, revenue collection and referrals.
Provide excellent customer service while interviewing patients and ensuring accurate data entry in a high-volume ED.
Adhere to EMTALA, HIPAA and Joint Commission requirements in a busy, 24/7 environment.
