Job summary

Baptist Medical Center East in Alabama seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department, 3pm-3am, weekend/holiday coverage. The RN will supervise nursing staff on shift and ensure quality patient care.

You will use the nursing process for assessments, planning, and interventions, and collaborate with physicians and other clinicians. Additional duties may be assigned within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required and BLS certification required.
• BSN degree preferred; ACLS/PALS/TNCC may be required depending on area.
• Strong observation, assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Ensure quality and continuity of patient care through the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in care planning.
• Assess, plan and perform nursing interventions.
• Carry out additional duties within scope as assigned.
