Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Tech/Registrar for the ED on a 0.9 variable/rotating schedule. You will assist nurses, communicate with patients and families, and maintain patient privacy while providing safe care.

Required BLS certification and a high school diploma; CNA/Health Support training or EMT background is preferred. A valid Iowa driver’s license and lifting ability are also required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA/Health Support Professional program or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate accurate information at handoffs and with families.
• Provide safe, nurse-assisted care under supervision and document nursing tasks.
• Maintain patient privacy and real-time documentation of care.
• Assist with patient transport and department duties as needed.
