Job summary

BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Emergency Department in a fast-paced, Level I trauma setting. You will deliver direct patient care, assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and help maintain a safe, healing environment under nurse supervision.

The role requires a CNA license, a High School diploma or GED, and a commitment to rotating nights, holidays, and weekends. 36 hours per week with 7am–7:30pm shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care under licensed nurses.
• Administers or assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Traveling or standing for long shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care.
• Collects vital signs and reports changes to the nurse.
• Assists with ADLs and personal care for patients.
• Documents care activities accurately using medical terminology.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs and participates in safety initiatives.
