Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is seeking a part-time Patient Care Partner for the Emergency Department day shift (7:00am–7:00pm). You will perform routine patient care, vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, assist with ADLs, and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications include High School diploma, BLS, and relevant training (Medical Assistant/EMT/PCT). The role requires ability to lift 50 lbs and strong communication to support patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT/Medical Assistant/PCT training preferred.
• Registered EKG Certification and Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Performs hourly patient rounding and checks, identifying patient needs.
• Assists with orientation of new PCPs as requested.
• Provides direct patient care including vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, and ADL assistance.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and infection control standards in patient areas.
• Assists with patient transport and examinations, and escorts as needed.
