Job summary

Texas Health Arlington Memorial is seeking a Paramedic (EMT-P) to join a fast-paced Emergency Department in Arlington, TX. This full-time, day-shift role supports a high-volume ED of 100–200 patients per day and requires strong clinical skills and teamwork with physicians, RNs, and respiratory therapy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship; 1 year EMS/Fire experience preferred.
• EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or LP - Licensed Paramedic.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire required.
• BCLS prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly; PALS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI training within 60 days (ED Only) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides Safe Patient Care Under Physician Delegation.
• Administers IV fluids and medications with barcode verification.
• Completes accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Maintains airway, circulation, mobility, and hygiene needs.
• Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices.
• Cervical collar management and external defibrillation.
• Oxygen therapy and ultrasound-guided IV access.
• Draws blood from ports and performs other duties as assigned.
