Job summary

North Country Healthcare in New Hampshire seeks an experienced Emergency Department Paramedic to join the clinical team. You will provide high-quality care in the ED, support transfers, and follow NH EMS protocols. This role reports to the ED Manager/Director and requires strong clinical and communication skills.

The position emphasizes procedural proficiency, patient advocacy, coordination with ED staff, and adherence to infection control practices. Travel and orientation supports are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Paramedic Program.
• NRP & MOAB certifications must be obtained within one year.
• Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic and NH licensure required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and PHTLS required prior to employment; critical care coursework within two years.
• Two years' Paramedic experience; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care in the Emergency Department as part of the clinical team.
• Accurately assess, triage and manage EMS and ED patients following NH protocols.
• Coordinate with ED physician and RN; document procedures and results.
• Transport patients as needed and support infection control practices.
• Participate in risk management reporting and cost-conscious supply use.
