Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an ED Paramedic to perform advanced patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting under the state licensure and Presbyterian scope. The role includes receiving emergency calls, triage, and collaboration with nurses and providers to ensure timely care.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, documenting care in EHR, aiding in admissions and transfers, and coordinating with EMS.

Qualifications

• High school/GED required.
• Current NM Paramedic License required.
• 2-5 years of experience as a paramedic preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS is required.
• Previous EMS Dispatch experience preferred.
• 2 years ED patient care experience including triage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the provision of patient care based on setting and acuity of patient care needs.
• Performs care within State Approved Scope of Practice and approved competencies.
• Assists in cleaning and maintaining emergency supplies and equipment.
• Monitors patients and maintains records using patient monitoring systems and electronic health records.
• Documents and reports on any pertinent changes to the Nurse, Charge Nurse, and Provider.
• Communicates and processes necessary paperwork for patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
