Job summary

North Country Healthcare (NCH) seeks an Emergency Department Paramedic to join the AVH ED team in New Hampshire. You will provide high-quality patient care, perform assessments and triage, administer medications, and coordinate with ED physicians and staff to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications include graduation from a paramedic program, NH EMS Paramedic licensure, NRP, MOAB within one year, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Paramedic Program.
• NRP and MOAB certifications due within 1 year of employment.
• NH EMS Paramedic licensure current; BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS required; critical care course within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED clinical care as a Paramedic on the ED team.
• Assess, triage (ESI), and coordinate in-hospital plan of care with ED staff.
• Administer medications per formulary and state/hospital policy; monitor effects.
• Input orders and document thoroughly in patient records; ensure infection control.
• Support Code Blue and Rapid Response and transfer patients when needed.
