Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX seeks a skilled Paramedic (EMT-P) for our fast-paced ED. This full-time night shift role covers 7pm–7am, with weekend and holiday requirements and comprehensive benefits.

As a valued member of the ED care team, you will perform advanced clinical skills under physician supervision, coordinate with nurses and therapists, and contribute to high-volume patient care in a Magnet-designated, full-service hospital.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship; 1 year EMS/Fire preferred.
• EMT-P certification required; LP licensing may apply.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; BCLS and PALS within specified times; CPI in ED only within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides Safe Patient Care Under Physician Delegation.
• Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Maintains airway, intake, elimination, sleep, mobility and hygiene needs.
• Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices.
• Cervical collar management; external defibrillation; oxygen therapy.
• Other duties as assigned by the care team.
