Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. in Corpus Christi, TX is hiring an Emergency Paramedic for Corpus Christi Medical Center to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within scope of practice. You will monitor vitals, administer medications, and coordinate with the ED team to ensure timely patient flow and safety.

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP; a high school diploma or GED is required. No travel, with opportunities for growth within a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• NRP certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and assist in patient flow through the ED.
• Maintain clear communication with providers and nurses about patient care issues.
• Receive patient hand-off reports from EMS and assist with patient placement as needed.
• Record initial and ongoing vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Perform testing, specimen collection, and procedures within scope of practice.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
