Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Paramedic ED PRN to support nursing care in the emergency department. The role emphasizes applying the nursing process, contributing to case management, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for professional nursing care of patients within an assigned department.
• Applies the nursing process to a group of patients.
• Participates and facilitates in the case management process and cost containment for patients.
• Cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations.
• Documents all aspects of patient care efficiently and effectively.
• Assign and/or delegates patient care assignments to licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, based on acuity, needs of the patient, staff availability and qualifications.
• Demonstrates professional practice and always conduct.
• Participates in Performance Improvement as appropriate
• Demonstrates critical care skills for managing acutely ill patients.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
