Job summary

Arkansas Children's in Little Rock is seeking a full-time Emergency Department Paramedic. You will provide direct ED care under the Medical Director, perform procedures, document care, and educate patients and families.

Requires Paramedic certification (NREMT) and a college certificate or a high school diploma/GED; shift is 9a–6p, salary between $24.40 and $30.50 per hour. Provides patient- and family-centered care and transports patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college program or technical school; HS diploma or GED required.
• Paramedic certification (NREMT) and state licensure are required.
• Experience in emergency department or paramedic settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates changes in patient status with ED physicians and RNs.
• Performs and documents care, prioritizing needs based on patient condition.
• Maintains sterile technique for procedures and supports patient safety.
• Transports patients to appropriate departments and beds as needed.
• Provides care aligned with psychosocial and family needs and educates families.
