Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Paramedic to join a multidisciplinary team. The paramedic will support ED care, perform diagnostic tasks, administer medications, and assist with patient flow under physician and RN direction.

The role requires GA paramedic licensure and a national registry, with at least two years of field or hospital experience. A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and patient experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of the paramedic program with clinical hours.
• Georgia paramedic license and national registry.
• Minimum 2 years paramedic experience in field or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff in ED patient care.
• Greet patients and input medical information into the system.
• Perform EKGs, monitor cardiac rhythm, venipuncture and basic tests.
• Administer medications as directed by RN/physician.
• Transport patients to ICU and monitor critically ill patients.
• Respond to Trauma Alerts, Code Fast, STEMI Alerts.
