Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in coding and/or charge capture.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding.
• Understanding of emergency department workflows and services.

Responsibilities

• Review and abstract medical records for emergency department encounters.
• Ensure complete and accurate charge capture of services.
• Analyze charge processing functions for improvements.
• Monitor charge posting for accuracy and timeliness.
• Stay current with coding regulations and participate in ongoing education.
