Job summary

Newberry Health in Newberry, SC is seeking an Emergency Department Navigator/Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead care coordination, education, and outreach aimed at reducing ED visits and increasing preventive care referrals.

The role entails supervising hospital functions, developing equity-focused programs, collaborating with local agencies, and guiding a dedicated care team Monday–Friday 7 a.m.–3 p.m., with a focus on compassionate, community-centered service.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an acute care setting with one year of management or supervision in acute care setting.
• Current RN license in the state of South Carolina.
• BLS/ ACLS/PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care outside the ED setting to reduce ambulatory care ED visits and improve referrals.
• Develop equity-focused programs to address barriers to care and collect data for action items.
• Provide education and training to team members and collaborate with local, county, and state agencies.
• Direct and supervise hospital functions and activities throughout the facility.
