UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department (Inpatient) to deliver ongoing acute care, monitor patient status, coordinate care needs, and support safe transitions from the ED to inpatient units.

The ED Inpatient expansion seeks qualified candidates with a nursing diploma, English proficiency, and at least 1 year of RN experience; Texas license (NLC/BNE) and BLS are required, CPI certification within 180 days, with BSN and professional

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program (Texas BON 217.1).
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
1 year of RN experience; specialty areas may vary by unit.
NLC/BNE Texas (or compact state) nursing license.
BLS required; CPI certification within 180 days.
Preferred: BSN and professional nursing certification.

Responsibilities

Performs and documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments for patients across ages.
Plan of care based on assessments; coordinate with health care team.
Identify interventions and document them; communicate changes to the team.
Prioritize nursing actions; monitor changes in condition and respond appropriately.
Evaluate interventions and update the plan of care; adhere to policies and standards.
