Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an experienced RN for Emergency Department PRN Nights. The role involves direct patient care under supervision, with a focus on assessment, planning, and collaboration with the care team.

Required: 1 year RN experience; preferred: 2+ years in a busy ED. Licenses/certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, CPI) are expected upon hire or within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program either by a governmental authority, nursing board and
• Experience: 1 year of RN experience.
• Preferred: 2 years or more experience in a busy Emergency Department
• Licenses and Certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, NRP, CPI required upon hire or within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments across age groups.
• Anticipates patient and family needs and develops an appropriate plan of care.
• Coordinates with the interdisciplinary care team and documents interventions.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions based on assessment and reports changes promptly.
• Adheres to hospital and nursing policies and evidence-based practices.
