Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Georgia is seeking an Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator RN to manage patient movement in the ED, coordinating care with ED staff to ensure safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of ED RN experience, graduation from a nursing program, and current GA RN licensure with BCLS, ACLS, and PALS; a CEN is preferred. Bachelor’s in Nursing is desirable.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia (GA RN) required.
• 1 year ED RN experience required.
• CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• CEN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelor's Degree of Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
• CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
